A realization of
Spectacular tower crane assembly for demolition project in Brussels
A few weeks ago, our team completed an impressive project in the heart of Brussels. For the demolition of a building above the bus stops at the North Station, we set up a gigantic Wolff 8060.25 Cross tower crane. This crane, standing at a height of 61.5 meters under the hook with a jib of 80 meters, has a maximum lifting capacity of 25 tons and can lift up to 7 tons at the end of the jib.
A unique location
The location of the crane was particularly challenging. The chassis of the crane was installed 15 meters above the ground, directly above the bus stops. To ensure that this structure could bear the weight of the crane, a steel frame was first constructed. This frame ensures that the pressure points rest perfectly on the support pillars of the building.
Advanced assembly
The assembly of this mastodon was a technical feat. For this, we used our 300-ton telescopic crane and an impressive 700-ton telescopic crane. Thanks to these powerful machines and the expertise of our team, the crane was assembled safely and efficiently.
We look forward to the next challenging project. Do you need advice on your next vertical transport project? Then make a non-binding appointment and our experts will be happy to speak with you.
